view from the bridge

Albert, from Sydney, says he found Menzies Milngavie IV lying unconscious on Sydney Harbour Bridge, after a night on the turps. This is an artist's impression of what MM IV would have seen just before everything went black.

  1. Albert? Is that you? It looks just like the Forth Road/Rail bridge except not so good. This foreign travel malarkey really broadens the mind, eh? It's really hard to get turps here after five o clock at night. Thank god for deregulation down under! Hotboy

  2. Albert? Is that you again? Have you eaten the possums yet? Is playing possum an antipodean thing? Do they pretend to be dead till you throw them on the barbie? A Possum On A Hot Tin Roof is a great title. Transposition: (Instead of Stella! Stella!) Albert! Albert! Why are they all called Albert? Do you ever go to the theatre in New Caledonia? Do they have theatres there? I'd like to know. Hotboy

  3. Hotters, I assumed it was an American thing - they have possums there too (no relation, a completely different animal).

I believe they have that play here too, but the guy presumably shouts VB! VB! (Vinnie's Bitch?)

  4. I say!

I'll have to have a word with the young lad. Thankfully he's now in with a hippie crowd in Byron Bay, so hopefully it will be more mind expanding substances than turps that he's indulging in.
