what i learned from other bloggers (updated)

Some of the things I learned from various bloggers who visit here regularly:

  1. How to combine reality and a fantasy identity in one post.

  2. To cultivate a dialogue with a large circle of blogfriends, by replying to comments and by commenting at their posts.

  3. To forget about always explaining everything, instead sometimes just doing a stream-of-consciousness rave, trusting that readers will get the gist of what you mean.

  4. Posting NPD self-portrait photos with weird effects and from strange angles.

  5. Using scientific terms, and Medi-posting.

  6. Posting on undies and dunnies.

Can you match those four techniques with the bloggers' names? You can copy and paste this list as a comment, then add your guesses:

hotboy = number ___

keda = number ___

lee ann = number ___

menzies = number ___

carslemane = number ___

ion = number ___

PS - If your name's not there, that doesn't mean I haven't learned from you.
PPS - Updated. I originally posted before I was ready, by hitting the Publish button instead of the Draft button.

  5. finally updated my feeds, according to bloglines I'm your only subscriber, or in other words, your number one fan.

  6. Ray - I used to subscribe to myself, that made me my number one fan, surely a symtom of NPD.

  7. i don't actually use any 'effects' when i take pictures! but the dodgy lighting in my house, the weird angles, and the difficulty of getting into the positions required to take weird angles mean i often unwind as the shutter closes giving 'effects' or blurring! ;)
    just saying.

    glad to know we can all learn and all still teach too :)

  10. I'm honoured to be on this list, but only arrived at my description through process of elimination. I've learned a lot about lying from you and MMIII, but just can't bring myself to practice the dark art.

  11. I say!

    Well, I think Carslemane must be #6 and moi #2 although I will be using some scientific terms when it comes to explaining more about pitch inspections, so perchance you have seen into the future. Hotboy is obviously #3. #6 is surely yourself as well, what with your fixation with undies. Lee Ann is also #2 and keda is #4 and ion #5 which leaves #1 unclaimed.

    By the way, Ray, Hotboy would never manage anything as technical as subscribing to a feed, in my opinion.

  14. keda - that's what I thought. i didn't mean computer post-processing. Glad we clarified that. ;)

    MM - you're right, I set up hotboy's feed for him. Of course, he has never used it.

    HB - re the teetotality - those who don't learn from history ...

    ion - "lying"? Seems I could learn plain speaking from you. ;)
