surely not the end in sight!

One moment dear Christopher Hitchens was on the screen promoting another doubtless fine book, “Hitch-22.” The next minute he's been handed the black spot. Now the god-botherers are hoping he'll recant and embrace god. I can't see it.

Reading random blogs I found someone taking great macro photos in their garden. Soon after, the photographer was in hospital having life-saving major surgery. Just shows once again, you never know when you'll go. Nobody ever dies wishing they'd worked harder, but I believe everyone wishes they'd managed to love more. I'd rather spend my last hour blogging than working or in deifheid company. Imagine if you found out that you'd just wasted your last day listening to the drone of deifheids!

I took the other photos after sharpening my pencils instead of working.

  1. I say!

    Lovely snaps of sharpenings.

If I'm ever handed the black spot, I only hope that there's enough time left for me to watch the Ashes 2005 DVD from beginning to end one final time before I pop off.

  2. Albert? Why are you worrying about getting the black spot when you've already defeated death once? Do you have to do it again? The accumulation of the various diseases, which no one else has ever heard of, which you manage to have acquired will get you sometime, I suppose. I'm not praying for you unless I get the money up front. Hope this helps. Hotboy

  4. Albert? Who is Christopher Hitchens anyway? What did he ever write? Did he or did he not get into the bliss? There is no point in listening to anyone talk about religion when they have had no experience of the bliss. They're flatheids and flatheids don't even know they're flatheids. I don't care about the black spot anymore. It's Sunday morning here, so I'll give you a wee song.
Oh, I have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord! Oh, I have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord! So I have!

  7. Albert? Brilliant photies by the way. The consiglieri has sent Alma Mater to Cargo. I think that's probably it's first or second outing. Can we book the feather dance for the book launch? Hotboy

  9. Hotters if I were you, and no-one is happier that's not the case, I wouldn't be worried about other people's black spots either. But I'm cursed with empathic tendencies, and hadn't even thought about getting it myself. Which is always an option. This far out from ground zero, 25 years, it would be the radiation that'd get you. The same radiation that cured you. It all balances up. The trick is to manage to blow the gold in time.

Mingers, is there really only one DVD of that? A box set, surely?
